Oregano, or Origanum vulgare is a plant of the mint family Lamiaceae. Oregano’s taste is zesty, slightly bitter and strong. It can be found fresh, dried or as an oil. Oregano leaves store well and are easily dried. Keep them in an airtight container once dried.
